California Palace of the Legion of Honor

The California Palace of the Legion of Honor, often abbreviated as The Legion of Honor, is an art museum specializing in ancient and European art.

While the ancient art collection is small (under 1,400 objects), it houses some of the rarest pieces of ancient art and an extensive collection of Greek vases.

The collection of European art centers mostly around French artists. The collection also has a well-known exhibit of Rodin's sculptues, including a cast of Rodin's "The Thinker".
