A three-layer hipster cake, the Delancey is a well-appointed but relatively casual emerging rock club, enviably situated along Delancey Street, where Brooklyn, in the form of the Williamsburg Bridge, meets the Lower East Side. The Delancey has all of the amenities of the city's other great rock venues, and music to compete with any of them, without the elitist hassle. In the summertime, the rooftop patio, spotted with palm trees, offering great views of the nearby bridges is the most popular of the club's three distinctly decorated floors. In the cooler months, the elegant, brick-and-wood middle floor is the Delancey's busiest; the basement venue is, year-round, a cramped dream of New York punk rock.
