Echo Lake

Named "Echo Park Lake" for obvious reasons, this lake in the Echo Park neighborhood is well-known for being a small piece of nature in the concrete city of Los Angeles. At one time, the lake and park were said to contain the largest planting of lotuses outside of Asia. However, the number of lotuses severely decreased prior to 2008 and have been completely gone since then.
