It is generally believed that this slave revolt transpired at the site of what is now the Federal Reserve Bank. Since that part of Manhattan was underdeveloped at that point, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact location.

As you can imagine, slaves aren't always content being slaves. In 1712, some of the slaves in New York City revolted violently.
