Museum of Jewish Heritage

A living memorial to the holocaust, the Museum of Jewish Heritage first opened in 1997 at the southern tip of Manhattan Island. The Museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of those who perished in the holocaust. The museum features exhibitions of photojournalism about Jews in World War II, and other interesting features of Jewish life today and in the past. The museum’s permanent collection contains photographs, personal objects, and films that tell visitors the story of the Jewish heritage of the 20th century.
