Once the favored stomping ground of trumpet god Charlie Parker, Arthur’s has managed to avoid the kind of nostalgia-peddling that has overrun so many legendary New York venues, and remains a modest entrée into the world of New York jazz. The décor is cozy, the patrons pleasant, and the music strong. Notably, there is no cover charge.
