Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian

Enter Alexander Hamilton’s old US Customs House on Bowling Green to visit this entirely underrated city museum – definitely worth the visit for striking exhibits and fun activities - check out the Family Days for those younger Manahattanites.

Battery Park

For a quiet seat and eye-soothing greenery away from the hustle of the FiDi, head back to the mainland to this park, which in my opinion rivals Central Park relative to location. You can often find some sweet deals on goods from outdoor vendors both legit and otherwise.

Fraunces Tavern

Visit this historic tavern for good beer, heavy food, and a colonial atmosphere. Located at Pearl and Broad Streets, the tavern was the setting for many fascinating Revolutionary War-Era anecdotes – which you can learn about in the second-floor museum.
